Watch_Dogs 2 is set in the San Francisco Bay Area and unfolds under the skin of Marcus Holloway, a hacker who fell victim to ctOS 2.0's crime prediction algorithms and was wrongly accused of a crime he didn't commit. Now, he intends to shut down the system once and for all, and to do so he must use all his knowledge to hack into both the network that controls the city's infrastructure and the devices of its residents, allowing him to have full power over drones, cars, doors, security cameras and other resources. During the plot, Marcus becomes part of the collectivist group of hackers DedSec.
