So who remembers Name That Toon? It was a mid-90s CITV game show that revolved around the world of animation, presented by a high-energy Mark Speight who was clearly channelling The Mask. It all took place on a clever cartoonified set, and the grand prize was a trip to the Bahamas. This episode looks to have been originally broadcast around early December 1996, but I can't be any more specific than that. (And I say "full episode" in the title, but I'm afraid I've had to chop out a clip of Disney's Cinderella - sorry about that.)

Edward, Francis, and Jack from Watford are the Dustball Dodgers, while their opponents are Joseph, Kellie, and Charlie from Manchester, a.k.a. the Pavement Posse. Rounds include observation, a what-happens-next where being funny is more important than being right, one where you have to copy Mark's drawing (potentially with Picasso-like consequences), and an on-the-buzzer quickfire one to finish. It's all excellent fun, and when was a 1930s Van Beuren Felix the Cat short last broadcast on mainstream television?

Look out for some CITV continuity at the start and end, plus a (near enough) complete ad break. Before anyone asks, I'm afraid I don't have the episode of Out of Sight that followed.

Many thanks to David for sending me this tape.
