How to fake a 4a bookmatched flame maple top. This video shows all my tries and fails before I finally achieved what I was going for. It’s not exactly perfect, but it looks pretty dang close to the original one I was modeling it after. I haven’t put the clear on yet, so it’s going to look much brighter and shiny once I get about 8 coats of clear on it. Also still have to paint the back and sides first before I can do that. Be sure to keep watching for that, I should be getting to that pretty soon!
