My first look inside a Philips N1700 (VCR-LP format machine) (Part 1)
What I decided to be my next endeavor in my ongoing quest for supporting all of home video: the Philips N1700, which plays back VCR-LP tapes. This was a video format that was only released in the PAL region, so any equipment/tapes has to be imported into the States (this machine and the tapes I've acquired being no exception). Felt it'd be good to have another video on this rare format on YT, hence why I recorded my first deep look into the unit. I do intend on recording myself again when it comes time on changing the belts. Near the end of the video, I find out there is an issue with the unit not turning on (but the clock still working), so finding the source of that issue might take some time (again, no prior experience with these decks).
