Milwaukee, 1848, Ishilde Best is left with a brewery and tavern after the death of her husband, and her heart left out in the cold.
In comes two suitors: Adolphus Busch, a baron come up from St. Louis, with his round belly and inferior brew to try and win her hand and livelihood...
And Captain Schulze, with his special recipe that brings the taste of the Old Country, his only desire to share a bit of home on this new strange shore, with plenty of warmth in tow.
