The survey, which was initiated by Friends of Pregnant Women and Populix in 2021, involved 995 son-in-law respondents throughout Indonesia. As many as 32 percent of respondents admitted that the incompatibility of nature and behavior often led to conflicts with their parents-in-law. Not only that, 17% of parents-in-law interfere in household affairs, 14% habit of parents-in-law interfering in taking care of children, 7% criticizing parents-in-law during pregnancy 3% percent of various other causes (3 percent) are proven to trigger conflict between mother-in-law with son-in-law.
