Alignment Isn’t Outdated. It’s at the Core of D&D.
For many years, alignment has been diminished and deconstructed in D&D and other RPGs. We are worse off because of this, because alignments are essentially distilled mythic archetypes, and mythic archetypes are the very foundation of RPGs. If we weaken the foundation, we weaken the entire structure.
