The Blue tit chicks are feeling the need for speed and will soon be ready to leave.
The Blue tits chicks itching to fly
Blue tits which are identified by their blue caps, breed from March to May and early June.
After lining their nest with moss, grass, feathers and wool, the female will lay eggs and incubate them for a couple of weeks while the male feeds until the chicks hatch and are then fed by both female and male. The chicks fledge after 19 days and quickly have to learn to adapt to life outside the box.
