The Premack Principle, developed by psychologist David Premack, states that a more preferred activity can be used as a reinforcer for a less preferred activity. This means that if a person is motivated to perform a certain desirable action, they can use this action as a reward for completing a less desirable task. For example, a child might be allowed to play a video game (preferred activity) only after finishing their homework (less preferred activity).
