OpenShot Puppet Animation Test
The programs I used to make this were Openshot, a video editor, and FireAlpaca, a drawing and video editing program, both are free, and no money is needed.
So first I got a Mario image from the internet put it into FireAlpaca, separated the head, arms, and body, and exported them as Transparent PNGs.
Then I put them into Openshot and put each one into a separate layer. I would then rotate the arms and place them in a way that made the movement look right.
I don't plan on doing this for actual animation, only for segments that could use this style. Another thing is to plan which body part I want to move so that I can save on layers and keep everything organized.
