How can I know myself and what is in my heart? How do we enter our inner world? It is the adventure of going from the most superficial to the most profound and spiritual.
After being silent and recollected to enter our inner world, we can advance on our spiritual path by taking a journey to the center of our soul. You've surely heard of or are familiar with a novel titled Journey to the Center of the Earth by Jules Verne. This novel narrates a long and extraordinary journey in search of the center of the earth. Along the way, extraordinary creatures and unexpected landscapes appear. In the spiritual life, to deepen our knowledge of our inner world, we can take a journey that takes us to the depths of our being, to the heart.
Discovering this inner world in which God dwells "at its deepest center" is the greatest discovery of life and the only way to live fully. As Saint Josemaría wrote: "Until now you have not understood the message that we Christians bring to other people: the hidden wonder of the interior life. What a new world you are presenting to them!
