How I Stopped My Series 3 Land Rover Scuttle Vents Leaking (should also work for a Defender)
A short video on how I stopped getting wet feet in my series 3 Land Rover.
Despite replacing the seals for the scuttle vents they were still leaking. I removed them and resealed with silicon sealant. I'd previously used superglue for quickness.
I also added strips of weather sealant to the sides and bottom edges of the vent flaps where they sit against the seal.
This had the required effect although the flaps do now sit slightly proud of the bulkhead. I may try reducing the thickness of the strip to see if I get a better fit.
However I now have dry feet when driving in the rain.
