NOTE: I use the character-facing skill option which can be found by attaching a controller to your computer and typing /controller. This feature will be available in the options. I use a keyboard, it's just a weird quirk.
For some reason this was a default option when I started playing, and it is almost necessary for warrior tanking. The footage in this video is not possible to replicate without this option turned on. I will update on how to enable this more easily once EME fixes it. I'm not sure whether you can access /controller without a controller attached, but if you cannot... just plug one in.
