DID YOU CHOOSE THE WRONG COLOR AND TONE? TIPS FOR DYING YOUR HAIR THE RIGHT COLOR

How to Use:
The first step is preparing the hair to receive the coloring. Ideally, you should wait up to 3 days without washing your hair to protect the scalp from the chemicals.
Before any chemical process, it is necessary to perform a strand test to determine the hair's resistance and the color result. See the step-by-step instructions below:
1st step: Apply the remaining mixture used in the patch test to a small strand at the back of your hair.
2nd step: Wait 40 minutes.
3rd step: After the processing time, wash and dry the strand. Evaluate the resulting color, processing time, and hair reaction.
4th step: If heating, breakage, or damage to the hair occurs due to the use of other products previously, the coloring cannot be applied.

To prepare the mixture, you will need a towel, a plastic bowl, a brush, and a wide-tooth comb. Next, put on the gloves provided in the Cor & Ton box, pour the entire contents of the tube and the oxidant into the bowl, and mix until you reach a homogeneous consistency. All set? Now it's time to apply!
Step 1: With your hair parted in the middle, separate small sections and apply the product to the roots, lengths, and ends. If you are lightening your hair, maintain a 2cm distance from the roots.
Step 2: Gently comb through with the wide-tooth comb and massage well to distribute the color.
Step 3: Leave the product on for 40 minutes. A shorter time may result in insufficient coverage or lightening of the hair, and exceeding this time may cause the color to darken or lighten more than expected. Also, avoid tying your hair up to prevent staining; the process needs to be very careful.
Step 4: After the processing time, rinse your hair thoroughly with cold water, removing all product. Shampoo is not necessary for this rinse.
Step 5: While hair is still damp, apply the entire contents of the FixaCor Treatment sachet, massaging gently. Leave on for 3 minutes and rinse. Its moisturizing formula prolongs and cares for the beauty of the color. If you purchased the complete kit, the next sachet should be applied in 15 days and the last one in 30 days.

🎨 What does “color” vs “tone” mean?
Base color (often simply called “color”): indicates the level (how light or dark) of the hair – dyed or natural. For example: 1 = black, 5 = light brown, 10 = very light blonde.
Tone or nuance/reflection: These are the reflections (or shades) that appear with light or that the product leaves on the hair – for example, ashy, golden, coppery, violet, etc.
In hair dye numbering, you usually see something like “6.4” or “5.74” – the first number (before the decimal point) is the base color; the numbers after the decimal point indicate tone/reflection or nuances.
🔍 How to choose the right tone for you
Identify the current tone level of your hair (for example, if your hair is medium brown = base color ~4). Colorimetry helps with this.
Consider the result you want: do you want to darken, maintain, or lighten? If you want to lighten significantly, you may need bleaching or extra care.
Choose the tone/reflection you want (golden, ashy, coppery…) and ensure that the chosen base color supports this reflection. For example: if the base color of your hair is going to be orange, you might need to neutralize that tone.
Check the "numbering" on the dye packaging to see if it matches your goal. Examples: 5.3 = light brown with golden undertones.
