Did you know that this 10 year old game has a bunch of unused stuff? While normally silent until you hit start, Dark Souls has a sound effect that plays when the logo loads in, followed by a menu theme. Neither of these play in the retail version of the game. However, they both played in the Network test and pre-release copies of the game. The track is called proto-opening, and while it's unused, parts of it are not. You can hear segments of it in various cut scenes (most notably the endings) and some parts of it in other tracks.
