University Libraries and The Art of Cartography
Art is an expression of beauty and emotion in visual form, and cartography—the art of mapmaking—can be an appealing format. In this program, explore collaborative projects from the University Libraries GIS Research and Map Collection (GRMC) and the School of Art, including the recent student exhibit “Psychogeography: Mapping & Line.” Join Melissa Gentry, Supervisor of the GRMC; Barbara Giorgio, Teaching Professor; and Rachel Cohn, Foundations Coordinator and Assistant Professor in the School of Art, for a presentation highlighting unique and imaginative student-created cartography.
