What is Phishing?
Phishing is one of the most common techniques used by attackers to steal passwords.
Attackers set up their own environment and share the URL or link to victims.
It will look similar to the genuine website and that's why it is also known as Brand Spoofing.
How does it work?
If you click the link and enter your credentials for the authentication it will be transferred to the attacker and you will be redirected to another page. Attacker will get your credentials in this scenario.
How to Safeguard yourself?
To safeguard from this attack, always check the URL before entering the credentials.
(Be careful while using the mobile phone as it doesn't show the URL by default)
Also you can set up the two step authentication in all your accounts for an extra layer of authentication.
