Glitter Blessings at Lake County Pride 2026
On a windy April day at Lake County Pride, Rev. Kristina Spaude offered
glitter blessings — small hearts of aloe gel and biodegradable rainbow
sparkle, drawn on foreheads, hands, and hearts, with a blessing tailored
to whatever needed blessing that day.
Heads. Voices. Hearts. Hands. Feet. A general one, if you'd rather not
pick.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Lake County (UUCLC) tabled at
Lake County Pride 2026 with one offering: that love, in this faith, looks
like showing up — and sometimes it looks like glitter.
