Community Outreach Programme | Nammude Naale Nammude Karangalil | NSS & Paryavarana Club | SJIHMCT
The NSS Unit 272 and Paryavarana Club of St. Joseph’s Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology (SJIHMCT) jointly organized a Community Outreach Programme titled “Nammude Naale Nammude Karangalil” on 24th April 2026 at 11:00 AM.
The programme was conducted at the Bharananganam Panchayath Community Hall and featured an awareness session and workshop on sustainability for the Balasabha members of Bharananganam Panchayath. The event witnessed active participation from students along with members of Kudumbashree, making it a meaningful community engagement initiative.
The awareness session was led by Jibin Thomas, who emphasized the importance of sustainable living, responsible resource usage, and waste reduction. His session was insightful and encouraged participants to adopt environmentally responsible practices in their daily lives.
Following this, a hands-on workshop was conducted by Ayush and Devika, where participants were guided in making paper pens and paper bags. This interactive session promoted sustainable alternatives to plastic and ensured enthusiastic participation from all attendees.
The programme served as an effective platform for spreading environmental awareness, skill development, and community participation. It stands as a commendable initiative by SJIHMCT in fostering a sustainable and eco-conscious future.
