Synopsis: Campeone is a title given that can kill a God, being able to use the divine powers that it can use and not even equal in divine power. Kusanagi Godou is a 16-year-old high school senior who was the fourth hitter and catcher in his high school baseball room, but an injury ended up ending his chance for a promising future in the sport. The boy travels to Sardinia at his grandfather's request to return an ancient stone tablet to an ancient one named Lucrecia Zola. In Sardinia, he meets Erica Blandelli, a swordswoman versed in magic, and ends up being dragged along with her into the chaos resulting from a dispute between two gods. In the midst of this crisis, he ends up having to face the ancient Persian warlord, Verethragna, in mortal combat. After slaying the god, Godou becomes a Campione, one of the many titles given to a slayer of gods. Now he has to deal with the problems that come with receiving this one, which are not easy at all.
