VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Join Brad and Dona on an inspiring journey as they take you inside their 1985 Crown Super Coach converted into a tiny home on wheels. After 40 years of homeownership and raising a family, Brad and Dona decided to downsize and embrace the tiny house lifestyle. In this video, they share their bus conversion experience, from a 14-inch roof raise to creating a modern, minimalist living space perfect for entertaining, cooking, and hitting the road.
A Spacious Tiny Home Kitchen for Entertaining: The kitchen in their converted bus is the largest Brad and Dona have ever owned. With quartz countertops, a large sink, and plenty of counter and drawer space, the kitchen is designed for entertaining family and friends. Custom-built shelves and a deep refrigerator with ice maker add functionality and style. Cooking with their induction cooktop and convection oven has been a game-changer in terms of efficiency, and the open shelving concept provides easy access to all essentials while keeping the space light and open.
Comfortable Living Space Designed for Gatherings: Brad and Dona wanted a living space that could accommodate large groups for gatherings. Their custom-built table folds out to accommodate multiple guests, and the couch easily converts into a full-size bed with additional storage underneath. Natural light streaming in through the large windows, combined with the rustic-modern design in black, gray, and wood tones, creates a cozy, stylish atmosphere.
Smart Storage and Functional Design: One of the highlights of their tiny home is the abundant storage space, from pull-out shelves in the pantry to foot drawers in the kitchen. The bathroom features a unique resin-topped black walnut vanity, a carved granite sink, and a shower with faux wood porcelain tiles. With 110 gallons of freshwater storage and a Nature's Head composting toilet, Brad and Dona have designed their bathroom to be efficient for off-grid living.
Master Bedroom with a View: At the back of the bus, the master suite is cozy and functional and features a short queen-sized mattress, plenty of closet space, and nightstands on either side of the bed. The room has a back door that opens to stunning views - whether it's a river or the ocean, they can let in the fresh air and enjoy the scenery. The bedroom also houses the water and heating systems, keeping everything tucked away and efficient.
Powerful Solar and Electrical System: Brad has outfitted the bus with an impressive solar setup, with 2600 watts of solar power and 6 100 amp hour batteries, equivalent to 12 Battle Born batteries. The system powers everything from kitchen appliances to air conditioning, allowing them to live comfortably off the grid. The dual-zone mini-split ensures they stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
Building Dreams: From Real Estate to Nomadic Living - Brad and Dona share their passion for the nomadic lifestyle and encourage others to turn their dreams into reality. After years as a general contractor, Brad now focuses on bus conversions, helping others achieve the dream of owning a tiny home. Whether you're considering a tiny home on wheels or a stationary one on land, Brad and Donia prove that downsizing brings more freedom and happiness.
