Sad Christmas Day - Roderick Newport
It’s like you're walking on my grave before I’m done gone
We’d always hang our stockings up on Christmas Eve
Put up Christmas lights upon that Christmas tree
This year you said you couldn’t stay
You just came by to bring back all of my things
It’s like you're walking on my grave before I’m done gone
And that’s not easy to say
You walked out and didn’t take a single present that I gave
It’s a Sad Christmas Day on my own
Ohhh and now she’s gone
Sad Christmas Day my only friend
Is Christmas bells that toll again
Snowball fights were only fight we ever had
And those Christmas songs we sang they weren't half bad
Feels like a haunted house today
And old ghost town without you are Santa’s sleigh
It’s like you're walking on my grave before I’m done gone
And that’s not easy to say
You walked out and didn’t take a single present that I gave
It’s a Sad Christmas Day on my own
Ohhh and now she’s gone
Sad Christmas Day my only friend
Is Christmas bells that toll again
Sad Christmas Day
♫ Resonator Guitar Lead ♫
Put that ole mistletoe away
I guess you never planned to use it anyway
It’s like you're walking on my grave before I’m done gone
And that’s not easy to say
You walked out and didn’t take a single present that I gave
It’s a Sad Christmas Day on my own
Ohhh and now she’s gone
Sad Christmas Day my only friend
Christmas bells that toll again
Sad Christmas Day on my own
Ohhh and now she’s gone
Sad Christmas Day my only friend
Christmas bells that toll again
