Self Care Day | self care routine, date night, lemon cake bake with me
today's daily vlog is all about making the best of winter...how i do self care, going on a date, getting bubble tea, and making lots of food like biscuits and gravy and milkbread!
i also do a step by step "bake with me" segment with you in this daily vlog!! we make a lemon mascarpone cake. i used this full recipe from the life, love, and sugar blog:

the candied lemon slices are not in that recipe (but they are step by step shown in the vlog), and the recipe is just:
combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. add two sliced lemons, and let the temperature come up to 252F or 123C, then remove and let harden on a silpat or nonstick sheet.
