In this tutorial we will use various techniques in Power Query to pivot multiple columns. More specifically, we will pivot groups of 6 columns into individual rows, and then we will remove the unnecessary rows.

This is my way of fixing a mistake that I have made years ago in creating a database. And it all comes down to a bit of elbow grease and the use of some Power Query tools, like merge, split columns, remove rows and add index.

This is fresh approach that will get you to the next level when it comes to pivoting in Power Query. And, the beauty of it is that it can be applied for both Excel and Power BI.
