Emu's Pink Windmill Kids: Bandstand Boogie
The 1989 series EMU-TV was a concerted effort by Rod Hull to launch Emu in North America. It was mostly filmed in Canada, and there were plenty of 'nudges' to the US, including this song. It's called Bandstand Boogie - written by Charles Albertine, but probably most famous for Barry Manilow's version being used as the theme tune to the US show American Bandstand (it says here).
First aired on 3rd May 1989. Nice to see a few extra kids get a part in the dance as bonus cheerleaders. I wonder how they managed to swing that one...
