It's a 2 for 1 review for 2 new products.
1st from The Wet Shaving store, El Azulado (The Blue one). This is an homage to a OG blue product from the past. And , it is really spot on. Bringing back childhood memories of sneaking into my grandfathers room and "borrowing" some of his aftershave. The perfumer behind this is none other than Shannon from Elysian Soap Shop. This is Shannon's 2nd (that I know of) go round with this scent. The 1st was the TWS/Shave Dad collab.
The next new product is the razor collab between Alpha Shave Works and Bary- A Texan Shaves , The Lonestar. This is done in the colors of the Texas flag (although the US flag has the same color scheme). Here are the specs the Lonestar: Material: 6061 Aluminum, Blade Gap: 0.90mm and neutral exposure, Aggression: Neutral to slight positive exposure depending on blades used. Weight: approximately 50g

Just some notes: The base just exploded with lather super quickly. As I lathered up, the room fills with that fresh, citrusy, aquatic scent, instantly waking up your senses. Bringing back those childhood memories.
The Lonestar teamed up with the Battle Brothers blade to do an extremely comfortable shave. I think (YSEMV) that there is a little more blade feel here than the Shave Dad razor. But that's just my opinion.
The lather has a great cushion and feel with just enough menthol to let you know it's there and not freeze your face off.
A rinse with cold water brought out more of that cold feeling and when adding the matching aftershave (which is NOT BLUE), it calms and soothes my skin, leaving behind a light, invigorating scent and feel that complements the soap.
To top it all off, I picked Barrett Fragrances’ Diakonos cologne. The homage to another OG scent , Armani Pour Homme.
It was a 2 pass trip on the shave train that got me to BBSTown.
