Blackface in America has been going on for more than a century.
It has historically been criticized, as far back as the 1800s.
Yet it keeps coming back in multiple forms, either by politicians in high school yearbooks, television personalities, or teenage students who don’t seem to know any better.
Our short documentary takes a look at the history of blackface, and addresses the issue of why the offensive practice doesn’t seem to go away.
