"Titled ‘Free Spirit’, the track is a heartfelt tribute to the well-loved and vibrant Carla Clarkson, a close friend of Kydus and Yousef and promising DJ who tragically took her own life after suffering prolonged domestic violence and social abuse.
Kydus and Yousef worked with the family of Clarkson, who was affectionately nicknamed Bert, to create an apt tribute video that depicts Bert’s distinctive and spirited personality with an array of colourful balloons in many of her favourite spots in Liverpool.
A percentage of the income from the track will be donated to Papyrus, a charity chosen by Bert’s family that focuses on preventing suicide in young people." - Mixmag
