DIY PVC ROCKET LAUNCHER ROD HOLDER
I've been making these rocket launcher fishing rod holders for years for just about every kayak I've owned.
The purpose for these rod holders is, if you have a reel with a button on the back and you set it in a flush mount rod holder it will release your line so I use these to elevate my reels off of the kayak surface.
I bell the tips of the rod holders with a beer bottle by heating about 1 inch of the top.
I'll also add a 3/4" slot about 3 inches down on the bent side.
