for the first time in my life i made a plan. here's me explaining it: what we're building towards and how we plan to get there.

Y becomes the everything app for your life, always on personal intelligence that knows everything about you.
But we don’t launch the end state, we earn it.
Preface
Tesla started with $100,000 sports cars for celebrities, not because they wanted to build sports cars, but because that’s what the battery economics of the day allowed for. And those high-paying customers funded everything that came next.
Amazon started with books, not because Bezos loved reading, because books had 3 million SKUs, existing distribution infrastructure, and customers who matched the early internet adopter profile. Books funded and proved the capability for everything else.
In a similar vein, Y starts with intentional voice check-ins for people solving specific problems. Not because that’s the grand vision, but because that’s the atomic unit that proves this mechanism works.
1: The Lab Journal
10 people, 30 days, one problem each.
The method is dead simple. Declare what you want to change, form a hypothesis about how to get there, design an experiment, check in every night, hear your own words back every morning.
This is the sardine methodology packaged. I’ve proven it works on me. The test is whether it works for others.
Proving: Self-talk + structure + reflection = outcomes
Success: 5 or more users checking in at day 30. 5 or more reporting progress on their goal. 2 or more willing to pay or endorse.
Unlock: Credibility. If 10 people transform, I have case studies. I have proof. I have the right to ask for more. More users, more data, more trust.
Content: film series with verci creators doing the challenge. Los is down to do it to get shredded.
Goal: tell the story, improve app based on learnings, build leverage to properly fundraise
Timeline: Jan/Feb.
2: All the Data
Once we build trust we can gather more data.
This isn’t a separate product. It’s the same product with more inputs: diet tracking, apple health integration, sleep steps, HRV, … credit card swipes, spotify, browsing data. It’s all valuable.
Proving: more data = better insights = better outcomes.
Success: users connecting health data, etc.
Timeline: Q2, 2026. But honestly, if someone in phase one wants to track their diet, I’ll build it next week.
3: Ambient Capture
The storyteller in the app already works. I’ve been running ambient capture on my life for months now. The app records my entire day and generates a narrative every night with my own words stitched in. It’s magic.
But ambient capture is a trust leap. You don’t ask someone to record their whole life on day one. You earn that by proving value with less.
Proving: Seeing yourself in third person, hearing your own voice at key moments, accelerates transformation in ways that check-ins alone don’t.
Success look like: Users who started with nightly check-ins choosing to go ambient because the stories got better.
Timeline: Q3 to Q4 of 2026.
4: Life as a Game
This is where things get interesting.
Once Y has context on your full day, it can begin to map your relationships: who you talk to, what you talk about, the patterns in your social graph.
Life becomes a game with real characters, real quests, and real stakes.
Y becomes the Pokédex for your life.
Proving: The social layer compounds the individual layer. Life is now playable.
Timeline: 2027
5: The Everything App
All the data streams, all integration, the always-on personal intelligence that knows you better than yourself.
What Siri promised, what no one has delivered, not because the technology is impossible, but because no one has earned the trust to have access to everything.
Y earns it one layer at a time.
Timeline: 2027 and beyond.
Why This Works
Each phase proves the next.
The end state is ambitious. The starting point is quite small. Ten people checking in every night for 30 days.
That’s the bet. If the atomic unit works, everything else follows.
Why Now
Ambient audio transcription works. LLMs understand context. Wearables are starting to normalize always on capture. The technology exists.
But, the techs not quite there yet. Transcription / diarization’s dodgy and it’s expensive.
It will soon.
What doesn’t exist is the trust. Everyone’s trying to grab all the data at once. Y earns it in sequence.
The cultural moment is right too. People are drowning in content optimized for engagement and it’s getting worse. They’re force-fed images of perfect lives that don’t exist. They don’t need another app that consumes them.
They need one that reflects them and helps them grow.
Y is the antidote to the scroll.
