We would think we know everything about the updated Lada Vesta—details from the presentation on February 22, 2022, have been splashed across the internet. But today, a completely different Vesta is on sale, and if you've seen it in person, the nuances of its configuration might completely overshadow the original design.
So what was the Vesta NG supposed to be like, the updated car of which just over a thousand units were produced in Izhevsk? A raised SW Cross station wagon with a VAZ 1.6 engine and manual transmission, from the last Izhevsk batch, just happened to be in the possession of my friend Vlad—he bought it in the fall of 2023 and has already driven 12,000 km.
