Star Wars - Main Title (MuseScore 4 + Logic Pro 11)
After being introduced to MuseScore at my school. I wanted to give it a try by recreating an excerpt from the Main Title! This excerpt took me about 2 months to complete, since I had to work on other projects and focus on school in between programming and mixing this.
I used MuseScore 4 to program and sequence this; then afterwards I used Logic Pro 11 to further tweak, mix, and master. To make the mix sound more human-like. I tweaked the score itself by adding some additional dynamics and articulations to give it the sound I wanted. I also did some editing on the exported audio stems from the MuseScore session in Logic, and also did some very tedious adjustments, so that the instruments are not sounding too quantized.
I could've used a helpful tool such as NotePerformer to achieve the realistic human-like feel, but sadly I realized that it is not compatible with MuseScore, so I had to manually "humanize" it myself in Logic. The recreation is not 100% perfect, but I think the libraries were convincing enough to provide a good sound.
