PC Upgrade Time? Is the 6700k still a good CPU?
For the last 6 months I have been eyeing up computer parts again (probably because winter is cold and makes window shopping more frequent).
Is now a good time to upgrade? What things should I consider?
What I want in my next build:
Custom water cooling loop
Hard line tubing
Huge cooling capacity for silent operation
Large 300-400mm radiators
Silent mag-lev fans
E-ATX computer case (Fractal Design? Lian Li?)
At least 16 cores, 32 threads
2 TB operating system M.2
2 TB scratch disk / game repository M.2
8 TB SSD storage (M.2 or SATA)
64-128 GB RAM
144Hz+ gaming monitor with ultra-wide resolutions
