Land Rover Discovery 3 - Prop shaft centre bearing repair
I had the prop shaft centre bearing replaced for it to fail again 2 years later during its MOT. This was a £700 cost for the garage to remove the prop shaft and send it away for it to be split and get the bearing replaced before reassembly and put back in place. I needed a quick temporary solution to get the car to pass its MOT without spending another £700. This video was initially taken on Thu 24/4/25. As of January 26 I still haven’t got round to a permanent solution but this quick “get the car to pass” solution is holding up well 9 months later at a cost of less than £10.
The product I used in this video is no longer manufactured, but an alternative is Soudaflex 40FC by Soudal.
