A few things coming together...
So it turns out that you can get most of these components for $5 for less.... I'm a programmer who's never touched a soldering iron until Thanksgiving 2016. Turns out - I=V/R is pretty easy when you get your units sorted out. Whoever named everything Ohms, Amps, Henries, Farads.... Well these numbers aren't 1:1, so there's a little math involved....
But it's nothing you can't handle if you passed Algebra 1. Or if you make video games on a computer all day.

To anyone interested in circuits - I recommend SimplyElectronics channel to get started. Get a breadboard, an arduino, and get started. Bonus points if you follow me and do the ESP8266 route (Arduno killer!)
