#Yamaha showcased its #BS6 compliant #250cc motorcycles to its dealers at an event in Chennai. The new FZ 250cc motorcycles comes in two variants; #FZ25 & #FZS25 following a template of its 150 series
The main change is with the design and its BS6 compliant FI engine.
The striking visual difference in the new model is its new brighter projector headlamp with class-D bi-functional LED headlight setup and cowling on head and under the engine. The circular projector headlamp looks similar to the one in MT 15 motorcycle. Speaking of the devil, both these new bikes features negative-LCD-instrument-console and a side-stand-with-engine-cut-off-switch as we have seen in most Yamaha BS6 models.
Main visual difference between both the models is that the latter one has kind of more premium looking features like long visor and brush guards to better shield the riders during more adventurous riding.
The bike packs a 249cc single-cylinder BS6-compliant, fuel-injected air-cooled motor with oil-cooler.
And it continues to get dual channel ABS with adjustable motocross suspension. If you see power output figures for this bike, it produces 20.8PS at 8000rpm and a maximum torque of 20.1Nm at 6000rpm.
Just to give you the context, the previous BS4 model makes just 0.1PS more and 0.1Nm less.
We really need to appreciate YAMAHA's efforts in retaining the power and torque figures more or less the same despite complying with the strict emission norms.
Finally FZ25 is available in Yamaha signature #RacingBlue and #MetallicBlack.
And its counter part FZS25 comes in 3 colors; #DarkCyan, #DarkMatteBlue and Metallic White. The metallic white one comes with vermilion wheel rim stripes and the rest comes with standout gold rims.
