LAFLA Special Counsel Joann lee presents on the role of machine translation (MT) in language rights advocacy efforts. We will look at some of the ways current MT options can create confusion and further marginalize vulnerable communities comprised of non-dominant language users. These issues will be discussed in the context of promoting language justice and creating client-centered equitable multilingual spaces.
