Top 10 Jet Li Movies of All Time
In this video, we will rank and explore Jet Li's 10 greatest movies. Martial arts cinema has given us a lot of great names over the years, names like Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Donny Yen jump to mind immediately. That said, right there with them would be Jet Li as over the course of his career he’s proven himself to be an all time great. And his breakout in Hollywood is an impressive feat when you consider that his life started on the other side of the world over in Beijing, the place he first learned how to master his craft in martial arts competitions.
Once an injury stopped him from fighting competitively though, Jet Li would instead move over to the world of movies by giving us early classics like Shaolin Temple, Once Upon a Time in China, and Fist of Legend. Then as time went on he’d move over to the states and start working there too, with it being in the US that he hit a whole new level of success with blockbusters such as Lethal Weapon 4, Romeo Must Die, and the 2020 live action remake of Mulan.
With all that in mind then, it’s easy to see why today, Jet Li is considered one of the all time greats of action cinema, in particular martial arts cinema. Hell, you could argue that in the present day he’s number one above all else in that respect. And with him not looking like he’s slowing down anytime soon, we expect this is a position he’ll remain in for a long time to come.
