Finger Drumming & Piano JAM with @Andre Louis (part 2/5 from July 28th 2020)
Part 2/5. Welcome to our first jam together! @Andre Louis and I did our first jam on Ninjam on July 28th 2020. It was meant to be just a test, which is why we didn't think to also film it. So audio only this time. We jammed for about 40 minutes, I think, and it turns out some bits were quite nice! I only noticed when listening back to the recordings after the fact, because at the time of the jamming I was very stressed, it was my first time jamming drums (I've done guitar before, but not drums), and I was worried I was going to utterly fail in front of my man Andre Louis, who I admire a lot and by whom I am infinitely inspired every day, and who is one of my favourite musicians in the world. It was also my first time jamming to a metronome, so my timing is extra off at times because I'm also distracted by the metronome (which you can't hear in the recording). It was great fun and a very cool way to practice playing to the metronome. Will definitely do more in the future, also with video.
I use the @Xpresspads Finger Drumming technique, the absolute best one there is, in my opinion. It gets all the technical part out of my way, so I can take what I hear out of my head and play it on the pads.
