I traveled to the Canary Islands to explore and document the consequences of mass tourism. Tensions are high: amid local protests and widespread discontent, many residents want to keep tourists and digital nomads away. But what's really happening? We'll explore the impact of uncontrolled tourism on the islands, on the local cultural fabric, and the damage caused by careless management. Among the emerging problems are the abandonment of luxury resorts, left empty and decaying, and the emergence of a veritable favela in southern Tenerife, a symbol of a social and environmental crisis. Faced with this complex situation, is there a way out? We'll speak with those who have always lived on the island to see if there's a possible solution, capable of restoring balance and respect for the local culture.
