Music Students join Latin music icon Yandel for ELYTE Symphony performance
FIU's Symphony Orchestra and choir students recently performed alongside Latin music icon Yandel in a groundbreaking collaboration celebrating his latest album, ELYTE. This unique event, held at the Wertheim Performing Arts Center, fused reggaeton rhythms with classical music. It was part of FIU's partnership with Warner Music Latina, and it highlighted FIU's commitment to providing students with real-world, immersive learning experiences. The performance was a career-defining moment for many students, who rehearsed under the guidance of faculty and industry professionals. The event also introduced the ELYTE scholarship to support future musicians at FIU.
