Sahrawi artist Fairouz denied rumors of her retirement from singing, confirming that her absence was due to purely family circumstances. She emphasized that her return to the scene is a national duty, given the crucial role of the cultural arena in the Sahrawi people's struggle and liberation movement, which has been ongoing for decades and has been strengthened by the organization and structuring of the Sahrawi people by the Polisario Front, the vanguard of their struggle.
In an exclusive interview with Equipe Media's correspondent in Brussels, the artist asserted that the decline in artistic performance was due to harsh and complex circumstances for which neither officials nor artists bear responsibility. She called for a restructuring of the scene to create a strong cultural revival capable of achieving the monumental progress seen in the past.
