In December of 2022, December 19, 2022, to be exact, it appears many of the workers at the Petaluma Creamery, located in Petaluma, CA, never came back to work. After a long contentious fight with the City of Petaluma, Petaluma Creamery was denied the right to continue using the city's wastewater treatment and sewer system due to non payment of fines accrued over a period of years. Plus, the owner was accused of buying properties rather than pay the fines. These are allegations only.

As I visited in mid-August of 2024, I noticed that most of the doors around the property were unlocked and not a person was in the entire factory complex. Cobwebs were on all of the trucks and things like coupling wrenches and old hoses were laying about the milk loading area where anyone could grab them. The property is not posted with any signage whatsoever regarding trespassing. The open access areas included buildings where large tanks of sulfuric acid were stored, and other buildings where huge tanks had access doors which anyone could crawl into. This was highly dangerous and after my investigations I reported the hazardous situation to the Petaluma Police Dept.

The last building, the laboratory, was also open with computers, tablets, and expensive lab equipment there for the taking. It appeared as if all of the employees left in December 2022, leaving everything in the building and laboratory just where it laid. It was a frozen moment in time. This proper needs to be properly secured. The condition was reported several times to the Petaluma police. With school now back in session it would be a tragedy if a child were to wander in and be injured. #abandoned #abandonedfactory #urbex #dangerous #frozenintime #dairy #factory #exploring #Petaluma #CA
