Being a zone 9, this Hebe should not survive our Zone 7 Winter. Nonetheless, it has been in the same container for almost 5 years albeit in declining condition. Last Summer, it bloomed a very pleasant Lilac blue. Now I am hopeful that it will do better next year, as long as this Winter is mild. The natural stature should be an egg shape. Trimming branches around to give it a balanced look. I cut the branches where they meet the next one, taking the whole growth out.
