Eid Cleaning in Our Countryside Home | Traditional Makrout & Rustic Salad from Nature 🌿✨🍯
In this video, I’m sharing the heartwarming atmosphere of preparing for Eid al-Adha in our peaceful countryside home. We started with a full house cleaning — scrubbing the floors with natural soap, shaking out the rugs, washing the windows — until everything sparkled and felt fresh, ready to welcome the joy of the holiday.
Then, I prepared traditional Makrout fried in oil, using semolina dough and a date filling flavored with cinnamon and orange blossom water. After frying, I dipped each piece in golden homemade honey — the aroma alone says “Eid is near!”
To accompany the mood, I also made a rustic countryside salad from local ingredients: tomatoes, green peppers, onions, and olive oil, finished with a touch of wild mint that I picked myself. A simple, healthy, and authentic dish from the land.
There’s something magical about Eid in the countryside — the calm, the birds singing, and the simple joys of preparing with love and tradition.
