Following in the footsteps of the ancient Silk Road, the "Iron Dragon" travels over 13,000 kilometers to deliver goods to their destination, connecting the cities of Yiwu (China) and Madrid (Spain). This train makes it the longest rail route in the world.
Covering 13,052 kilometers, the train, carrying 40 containers, departs from the city of Yiwu, located 300 km south of Shanghai, and arrives in Madrid in 21 days. During the journey, it crosses eight countries (China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Poland, Germany, France, and finally Spain) and changes track gauge three times. The documentary features the testimonies of those who make this epic journey possible. Sixty train drivers, who take turns during the trip, cargo inspectors, international trade managers, and businesspeople explain how the railway operates smoothly.
