Throughout video games, one mechanic has dominated player retention: RNG. RNG stands for random number generator, which refers to features with random outcomes in games. The main purpose of RNG is to, of course, keep players hooked to your game, cause what’s better at keeping kids addicted than a little gambling? After all, that’s how casinos make money. In all fairness though, RNG is a necessary feature since without it, games become boring and repetitive.
