Imperfections in bar stock can lead to a lot of scrap very quickly. Using Caron Engineering's DTect-IT CNC Sensor Analysis System with a vibration sensor attached to the main spindle we can monitor for vibration as a result of bar stock issues. DTect-IT can signal the CNC to reduce spindle RPM until the vibration level is acceptable to make good parts, or stop the CNC if vibration is too excessive.
