OBANDO in Bulacan is famous for its Annual Fertility Dance Festival, held May 17-19, in honor of the three Patron Saints, Santa Clara or Saint Claire, San Pascual or Saint Paschal Baylon, and Nuestra Señora de Salambao or Our Lady of Salambao. Obando was established as a separate and independent town in May 1753 and named after the then-incumbent Governor-General, Don Jose Francisco Solis de Obando.
