In order to fix Critical Error – Start menu not working, it’s advised that you end Local Security Authority Process using Task Manager. To do that, follow these steps:
Open Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Esc. (0:28s)
When Task Manager opens, go to Processes tab and locate Local Security Authority Process. (0:49s)
Right click it and choose End task and then select shut down. (1:09s)
